The Office of
the Children's Advocate is an independent office of the Manitoba Legislative
Assembly. We are here to represent the rights, interests and viewpoints
of children and youth who are receiving, or should be receiving, services
as prescribed under The
Child and Family Services Act and The
Adoption Act.
The role of the Children's
Advocate is to support children and young people who are involved, or
should be involved, in the child and family services system. The Office of the Children's Advocate in carrying out its function is tied to "best interest" provision of the Acts. The best interests of the child, shall be given paramount consideration, in all activities carried out by the Office of the Children's Adovcate staff.
We
all have a hand in it.
